It’s Official, RV Prices Are Rising in 2025: What You Need to Know

It’s official—RV prices are on the rise in 2025. Every year around March, RV dealers begin receiving factory updates regarding next year’s models, company news, and, of course, pricing adjustments. As I write this blog in the early morning hours of March 10, 2025, we have already started receiving notices from our manufacturers.

At Platinum RV and Under The Stars RV we primarily work with Crossroads, Forest River, Gulfstream, nuCamp, Encore RV, and Bontrager. So far the factories that have reported to us have informed us that, primarily due to rising raw material costs, RV prices—particularly travel trailers—are expected to increase by an average of 4-8% upon the model year change. While not all manufacturers have reported price increases yet, it’s important to note that annual price adjustments of at least a few percent are common in the industry.

What Does This Mean for Buyers?

Simply put, the next batch of trailers that dealers purchase will most likely:

  1. Arrive as the next model year.
  2. Come with a targeted cost increase of at least 4-8% for the dealer, factoring in acquisition and transportation expenses.

It is important to note however, that this price hike doesn’t account for fluctuations in currency exchange rates between the U.S. and Canadian dollar, nor does it consider potential changes in tariffs, which could further impact pricing.

What Can You Do?

If you’re in the market for an RV, now may be the time to act before the price increases take effect. Dealers still have current-year models in stock, and purchasing before the next round of inventory arrives could save you a significant amount. Additionally, financing rates and promotions fluctuate throughout the year, so keeping an eye on dealer incentives can help offset rising costs.

Stay informed, shop smart, and happy RVing!
